Amarinder Singh calls Canadian safeguard serve 'Khalistani sympathizer', says won't meet him

Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Wednesday called Canadian Defense Minister Harjit Sajjan a "Khalistani sympathizer" and said he would not meet him amid his normal visit to India in the not so distant future.

"There were, truth be told, five pastors in the Justin Trudeau government who were Khalistani sympathizers and I won't have any truck with them," he guaranteed.

"They had swayed the administration to keep my entrance into Canada, where I needed to go to meet my Punjabi brethren and not to crusade for decisions," he was cited as saying in a discharge issued by his group after the program.

Amarinder's survey battle in Canada was slowed down a year ago in the keep running up to the Punjab Assembly Elections.

Sajjan, the Member of Parliament for Vancouver South, is relied upon to go to India not long from now in his first visit since his arrangement as clergyman.

Crackdown on illegal mining increased sand prices: Punjab govt

Chandigarh: Punjab government today said crackdown on unlawful mining has prompted spike in costs of sand and rock in the state and will descend after more legitimate mines wind up plainly operational.

The Congress-drove state government has descended intensely on the mining mafia and started a few measures to control unlawful mining in the express, an official representative of the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) said.

"This has prompted a transitory spike in the cost of sand/bajri, with even the lawfully worked mines eliminating creation as an exorbitantly venture despite the administration activity," the representative.

Authorities of the Directorate of Mines, Department of Industries and Commerce, made an itemized introduction at the meeting highlighting the mining circumstance in the state and the measures being taken to check illicit mining.

The meeting was additionally gone to by Finance Minister Manpreet Badal, Local Bodies Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu, Rural Development Minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Chief Secretary Karan Avtar Singh among others.
